Easy going Easter!
Easter sort of snuck up on us....again....this year. We wanted to do it as low key, low stress as possible, and actually try to enjoy the day, and not rush through it. We entertained the idea of going somewhere for brunch. But, I dragged my feet looking into options for that, so that did not happen.
Then, my mother calls and leaves this message,"It's almost Sunday, what's the game plan, I get a Ham from Shop-Rite for free, we might as well eat that!" And there it was....the day was planned!
It happened just as it should, no over planning, no stressing. Mom dropped the Ham off before leaving for Church, it went in the oven, and filled the house with an amazing aroma of anticipated pleasures of the palette and the Soul.
We were honored to have both sets of parents there to celebrate the meal and day with us. I love that my children rather be in their own home, enjoying the company of their beloved Grandparents, and we think they actually enjoy their parents! We couldn't have asked for a better day.
